Top 5s is a real-time multiplayer guessing game that works in any browser. No download, no setup — just share a link and play.
The Game
Top 5s is a free, browser-based party guessing game for 2 to 12 players. One player (the "active player") secretly writes their personal Top 5 list on any topic — their top 5 favorite movies, worst foods, things they'd bring to a desert island, anything. Everyone else races to guess all five items and earn points.
It's part trivia, part "how well do you know this person," and 100% chaos. Games run 15–30 minutes and work perfectly on Zoom, Discord, or in person.
How to Play
Go to topfives.io, enter your name, and hit Create Room. Share the room code or invite link with your friends. Anyone can join from their own device — no account required.
The active player either chooses from a list of pre-set categories, types in their own custom topic, or draws from a custom category pack. Topics can be anything: serious, funny, nostalgic, spicy.
The active player privately writes their five answers. No one else sees the list — that's the whole challenge. Rank your items #1 through #5 and lock it in.
Other players submit their guesses simultaneously. The host reveals answers one by one. Score points for every correct match. Closest guess wins the most points.
Points are tallied after each round. Play rotates so everyone gets a turn as the active player. After all rounds, the player with the most points wins.
How We Compare
If you love party games like Jackbox, Quiplash, Skribbl.io, Kahoot, Gartic Phone, or Psych, you'll feel right at home — but with a few big differences.
Pro Tips
The best guessers don't think about what's objectively "correct" — they think about what that specific person would pick. If they love 90s movies, lean into that.
Obvious answers score more points for the guessers. Throw in one or two curveballs to keep your points safe and watch the chaos unfold.
The game shines brightest with custom topics built around your friend group. "Top 5 things Dave says too often" hits different than a generic category.
Top 5s works great silently, but it's much funnier on a Zoom, Google Meet, or Discord call where you can hear everyone's reactions in real time.
